Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day, this is not only the day we should be thanking our mother as they had sacrificed their whole life in giving everything that we need for our entire life. All the credit shall go the mother of a successful person. Without the mother, we will not be in this world at all. I’m deeply thankful to Allah S.W.T for giving me a wonderful mother who had been with me all the time. 9th May is not only the Mother’s day but also my father’s birthday. Both of them have stick with me all the time through thick and thin of my life. I’m fortunate to have parents, siblings and family members.

How about the unfortunate kids??

Pity

This feeling will cross our mind as we saw unfortunate people, but we never move one step ahead to help them. We gave them alms and then walk away. This also happens with me. This is common situation and some of us will just walk away as we are not in position to help them at all. No one is to be blamed for this.

We all know about Bukit Bintang as a shopping leisure and as place to hang out, but not all of us are aware the fact that there are almost 100 kids living on the street of Bukit Bintang. Their shelter is abandoned buildings. How horrible is this for kids aged seven to twenty three?

Would any of us live in place like this? I guess no one will.

We were so lucky, even we are not rich we still have all the three basic necessities; food, clothes and shelter. Some people who had made visit to see the kids told me that some of the kids only have food once a day; they have no clothes to change. I don’t know how the kids end up here, maybe runaway cases, child born out of wedlock marriages, peer influence, child abuse and many more.

As Malaysian and most importantly as a human I think we still hold the responsibility at least to help them improve their life. They are still kids and are unable to enjoy even basic necessities. This is so sad to hear.

What is sadder is that, the first person who had take initiative to help the kids is expatriate lady named Jill McWilliam. She has been helping all these kids in improving their life for almost 2 years. She spend 20-25 hours every week She had taken some steps by herself but she is calling for more and more help in order to save this kids life.

This issue is now published in some blogs and in Malaysia Kini. I know not all of us are in good position to help them financially but there are many ways to help them. I’m calling fellow friends to show awareness about these kids and help them build a better life. We may help our friends and family who are in need, so let’s take them as our family or friends.

A change in one child’s life can make a difference in the world.

LB: Jill McWilliam (of the Malaysiakini special report linked above) and child rights advocate Dr. Hartini Zainudin plan to open a drop-in centre in Jalan Alor in the next six months, where children can get a hot shower, a change of clothes, food, and counselling. Those who wish to help can email: jill.mcwilliam@gmail.com

Where are we??

Dead of a 15year old kid due to brutality of Polis Di Raja Malaysia:

Where are we?? Royal Commission is investigating the death of a 15 year old kid. As far as i remember, we had Royal Commission in Correct3 case, we had the Royal Commission for IPCMC and for death in custody.
Why do we need Royal Commision to solve this?? Everything is clear from the beginning and everyone knows what happen and we also have witness who tells everything clearly. Let me jog your memory of Kugan, was beaten to death while under police custody. "A person who is guilty until proven innocent" best term to be applied by Malaysian Police.
The same applied by the Police DIRAJA Malaysia in the case of AmirulRasyid, a 15 year old boy who was tragically murdered by four Police Officers. Bullet in the back of his head, how terrible it is??
This is not the first time we saw this brutality, we had previous case though. A women survived after Police had shot her 5 times after a car chase.
What is the best action had been taken by the PDRM for this recent case, all the four officers are transferred to desk jobs. What a decision?? Slow and steady I guess
Why that they are not suspended, why they still need the authority card and power as a police officer. To intimidate the witness?? Bet they will do
I still don't understand why the PDRM had not make a decision on the future of their brutal officers who killed a boy and hit the witness.
Since the beginning of the case, its something that so clear that the officers had acted outside their SOP and yet they area not suspended
Where is the justice to the family?? Would KPN transfer the officers to desk jobs if the victim has been his nephew or his relative. Shit no!!!
Lost of life in Malaysia had become so so common and what we all need is a Royal Commission to investigate?? Sure thing they will comfort the victim's family. The kids been shot as they are suspected as robbers?? What a statement and there is still no statement made to clear the name of the victim and his friend.
What I wish here is that,PDRM will clear the name of the kids and their family,
The boy is already dead at least let the boy rest in peace.

for God sake please ends this brutality...

IPCMC is suggested by the Commission that the government appointed and the Home Ministry said that they will not be bothered with the suggestion.

That is why I am asking why do we need to have Royal Commission when their decision or suggestion are not given attention. Waste of time, waste of money and waste of energy of all the good people who works for justice.

Al-Fatihah to him. And my deepest condolence to his parents, family members and friends.
